my inspiration :: blog it forward edition
yay! it's my turn to blog it forward and share a little inspiration with you!
if you are new here, i just want to give you a very warm welcome. talking about what inspires me is a major reason why i began to blog. there are so many things and certainly so many people i am inspired by! here's a little glimpse at a few things that do just that.
good food:
nature:
the sea:
great clouds in the sky:
my family:
my grandmothers who inspired the name haley and rose:
i am so grateful to take part in this amazing little project because it encourages a positive conversation within the blogging community. i know i've already discovered so many amazing blogs that i may not have had the chance to before. many thanks to victoria for organizing this tremendous feel-good endeavor!
now i have the lovely opportunity to pass the torch to handmade evolution. a darling little place on the web if i do say so. they'll be sharing a spot of inspiration tomorrow!
also be sure to check out a few other spaces who are blogging it forward today!

oh, beauty!
(my grandmothers names are beulah and ione)
Lovely pictorial essay! I'll share my grandmothers' names too; maybe we can start a trend: Lucille and Marjorie.
you two are making me smile ear to ear!
i love this trend idea, melissa! hopefully more people will share!
I love family names! My grandmothers are Joyce and Clelia.
great post
Love Grandmothers and wed n pic....
these photos are all so wonderful! so happy to get introduced to your blog via bif :)
those vintage photos are really great - makes me think of the ones i have and treasure of my family. also make me think of being a child, when life was simpler it seemed and before the internet!! i love the internet but i do miss those times before it occasionally too....
what a lovely post! my grandmothers are Arcadia (hence name) and CeCe.
I'm glad others like the family pics too! It's always a little funny (in a good way) to see them in the more public context of a blog. (Hey, I KNOW those people! Is our brother doing "Blue Steel" at age 3?)
i love hearing all of the names! you all don't even know how great you've made my day!
amy - i miss those times too! vintage photos are one of my all time favorite things
rebecca - you crack me up! blue steel. who knew he was years ahead of zoolander?
that photo of your gran with the Hassy is coolest thing i have ever seen! :)
i think so too, susannah! i always think of her when i shoot with the hasselblad i have on loan from my uncle!
i love your family! yeah!
